Director Events and Program Support (m/f)

This role is responsible for facilitating dialogue and providing assistance to GOPS Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Program Managers in the areas of initiatives programmatic support and event planning on global level.

Through creating timely, targeted, streamlined and impactful stakeholder, change, and communication assessments and plans of the initiatives under the GOPS strategic project portfolio, this key role enables business success and supports the execution of the GOPS strategy. Through such support of GOPS strategic initiatives as well as event management, this position will drive the image-building for GOPS, and further engage our internal and external business partners and stakeholders in the adidas’ GOPS journey.

This role will also be creating partnerships as well as acting as the primary point of contact with other key functions across adidas (i.e. Corporate Communications, HR Change Management, and Corporate Events Planning teams) in order to amplify and align adidas messaging and engagement activities consistently across GOPS and leverage these teams for additional support and expertise where applicable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates understanding and engagement for the GOPS strategy to support effective and sustainable project execution, change management and stakeholder engagement
  • Supports Strategy & Programs Leadership Team in creating impactful GOPS-internal communication frameworks and implementing concepts and messaging that enable open and consistent communication with employees on GOPS strategy and objectives.
  • Tracks employee understanding of and engagement in GOPS strategy and initiatives, and provides suggestions on to how to improve those over time
  • Facilitates creation of change mgmt. and stakeholder communication plans for all GOPS strategic projects by partnering with HR Change Management and Corporate Communications teams. 
  • Supports and acts as a regular business partner to the  Executive Board Member Global Operations and GOPS Leadership Team on areas related to engaging with GOPS employees on topics ranging from business direction to operations and execution
  • Aligns with Corporate Communications team to design, develop and implement impactful communication plans and content to drive aligned delivery of GOPS’ messages across various communication channels and with a meaningful cadence to prevent over-/under- or disjointed communication
  • Manages GOPS employee information portal with responsibility for content creation, alignment, and distribution
  • Leads GOPS event planning and manages Global Operations key events (e.g. Management – and supplier summits).  Works with adidas Corporate Events team and external partners to deliver successful events across the globe.
  • Develops and maintains contacts with industry leading organizations, universities, etc. to deepen our understanding and knowledge of state of the art change management,  communication, and events practices.
